Major Wreck Ties Up I-5


SLIDE SHOW MAY TAKE TIME TO LOAD

Tukwila Fire, SeaTac Fire, and King County Paramedics responded  to this multiple vehicle accident involving numerous cars and semi-trucks.  A sudden rain storm and poor visibility were factors causing this wreck. Thanks to seat belts, air bags and manufacture safety devices no one was killed. 

Car vs. Pole


Engine 53, 52 and medic 4 responded to a car vs. a pole. On their arrival the officer in charge had engine 52 open the car with the jaws of life so the patient could be extricated. Seven minutes after our arrival the patient was in the medic unit. The patient was transported to Harborview Hospital (The regional trauma center). Alcohol was a contributing factor of this accident. 

MR. LUCKY'S CAR WRECK

We call him Mr. Lucky. Firefighter Hickey asked the patient who was sitting next to the car. "Were you in there?" Yes. "Are you hurt?" No. "Whoa!"  Mr. Luckys Car Wreck
Yes. He could open the door. The car was dragged under the trailer for about 100' before the truck stopped. The car survived quite well for being a convertible. Tow trucks lifted the trailer to remove the car.
